For about fifty huntings per annum, the pack passes more than 300 days to the kennels. The Rally-Vouzeron is an association from 25 to 30 owner-huntsmen. It is the continuation of the crew of the kennels “the Vouzeron-Sologne” created at the end of last century by the Baron Roger.

The crew drives out in the forests (Orleans, Tronçais, Amboise, Bertranges, Grésigne) and takes part in many demonstrations and demonstrations of hunting.

The kennels count currently more than 90 dogs as well as a score of pups. All are poitevins of origin going back to more than 70 years. Of great activity and very sharp intelligence, it is extrêment "" active "". The quality of the act of hunting rests on the pack. The time spent near the pack amounts to thousands of hours. These kennels would be the only one in France conceived for a crew of hunting and it has just been registered with the inventory of the monuments of France. The food is daily a major concern. Three kilos of meat per day and dog are necessary in period of hunting. Only the best pupils go up the pack. The choice of the parents and the selection of the pups are made by the mastor (responsible for the operation of the crew).

All the dogs are marked with the right side of the letter "" V "" which represents association. This mark of high property of approximately 15 cm is a tonsure of the hair to the short-nap cloth of the skin. It is remade with the scissors monthly. At two years the pup is drawn up; at three years, confirmed. The season of a dog lasts from 5 to 7 years. Each animal has a different name, generally composed of three syllables to make it possible piqueux to modify the intonations during raising and of work. With the first syllable, the dog listens, the second, it waits and with the third, it acts.

All the dogs are true athletes. Apart from hunting, at least once per week, they make an exit from 12 to 15 km, taken along by the piqueux one. A well drawn up dog must "" fear "", be with the orders and love its Master. The access of the kennels is free.

Parallel to the Rally of Vouzeron, there exists another crew named “Pic' before the Sologne” directed by Brigitte and Gerard Monot.
